• Preparation and reviewing of technical specifications for ship’s new buildings and retrofits
• Advising and preparation of machinery drawings for ship’s modifications and upgrades
• Coordination and engineering processes for energy efficiency increasing upgrades
• Advising and controlling of supervising team
• Performing of ship’s inspections and technical analyses
• Advising during daily ship operational problems

Contract as Technical Director - Reederei Stefan Patjens, Drochtersen

• “Start-Up employee” of a new initiated Shipping Company and Limited Partner of the new built container vessels
• Developing and implementation of a Technical Management Systems for the company and the operated vessels
• Management of technical department, Inspection & Purchasing
• Budgeting, purchasing & transport arrangements world wide
• Supporting and rating of the Personals ( shore & sea )
• Implementation and maintenance of various IT –Systems on shore and onboard the vessels
• Daily operation of the container vessels, Inspectional, Audits, class surveys, yard & dry-docking etc.
• Supporting and managing of supervising teams during new building periods
• Development and designing of various Modifications to optimize the daily ship operation
• Preparation of various containership designs and details (Outline Designs)
• Development and preparation of shop building contracts and – specifications
• Commercial – and technical negotiations with ship yards for new buildings and repairs
• Implementing and Controlling of Restructuration Programs for insolvent vessels

• Planning, supporting, training, and rating of the Seagoing stuff
• Planning and supporting of repairs and dry docking periods
• Developing and optimizing of various ship designs
• Supporting and controlling of Supervision Teams

Under contract as designer in the machinery design office at the J.J. Sietas KG Ship Yard

• Development of Engine Room Arrangement drawings
• Preparation of diagrams and part lists
• Planning, calculating and designing of Shaft-Arrangements for the propulsion plant

• Preparation and supporting of machinery repairs
